The Network Effect

Your network is not who you know. It is who knows what you do.

Visibility is not Value.

Most founders treat LinkedIn connections like vanity collections. They optimise for "reach" while their signal remains buried in the noise. A network isn't a number; it's a Functional Protocol. If you aren't known for a specific outcome, you are invisible.

Signal clarity is the only currency that scales.

Signal Clarity

The question is not "How many people know me?" The question is "When someone has a problem I can solve, do I come to mind?" This requires signal clarity. You must be known for something.

The Weak Tie Advantage

Your close friends are unlikely to send you business. They already know what you do. The hidden advantage is in weak ties. People who vaguely know you but respect your work. When they hear a problem that matches your signal, they refer you. Optimize for weak tie density, not strong tie depth.
